I loved this story of Dan Lanning and his family, in rural Missouri. As an "Oregonian" since 1979 and as a Duck alumnus, i care very deeply to what transpires in our state and with the Ducks. I soared with Chip Kelly's offense vision and Mario's in the trench's mentality. I was somewhat skeptical of a defensive guy with no prior head coaching experience. He has won me over, his emphasis on his players, and his commitment to the program and his appreiation for the opportunities affordded to him in Eugene. He strikes me as a wonderful human being, wonderful father and great coach. it appears he leads with integrity, honor and disipline. The Pac 10ish will be caught unaware of the defensive juggarnaut he is building

Solid family... interesting to see how different the coaches over the years really are. Thanks for being here.
