Phil Knight couldn't buy a national championship, so he bought the Civil War.

As we exited the stadium, we walked past the Duck buses, including 10 or 12 Oregon State Police motorcycles, all parked in a neat formation.

I was struck to see that on each and every motorcycle, a motorcycle helmet in Oregon’s colors was attached. I thought to myself, aren’t these the police paid by ALL of the taxpayers of the State of Oregon, therefore, shouldn’t their helmets be standard issue, ie, neutral? As I walked past, a trooper smiled at me. I just said that I didn’t like the helmets. He said nothing, but his smile went away.

For crying out loud, did PK buy the state patrol too?

The Ducks played great, clearly the better team, but can’t the cops stay in the neutral lane?

I walked past those same motorcycles. Helmets surprised me at first too, but they were City of Eugene police, not State troopers.

Interesting. I didn’t catch that. The cop standing there was definitely State Patrol. So…what are Eugene cops doing in Corvallis where they have no jurisdiction? PK must be paying their overtime. My apologies to the OSP.
