Will Richardson is the same player he was his first day as a freshman. He hasn’t improved. Same bad decisions. Turnovers. Over dribbles. Can’t shoot. How many times do we see the same move - floater/runner off the underside of the front of the rim? Stanford game the other night, last 2 minutes - turnover, missed one and one throw, fouled a guy shooting a 3. It’s a flawed group overall, but Richardson gets talked about like he’s “the guy” and he just isn’t. Oregon doesn’t have the guy.
When my kids did a good job borrowing the car, they got to take it out more often. JC might even get to take a vacation without having to pre-author articles. Shake 'n Bake!

Good choice JC! Mr. Martin's article was indeed fun as it will be to see how his take on the Pac 12 tournament turns out. One comment regarding Cal and ORST: their recent game was one of the most, if not the most, entertaining of the year. Neither team obviously has anything to boast about this year, but that game kept my attention from start to finish. I'm not easily entertained and my office TV has tuned in to dozens of games this year. Usually even if a game is close I don't pay full attention until the last few minutes. Not so with that game. So if entertainment is the ultimate goal, that game was over-the-top successful.
Thanks John for the Pac Primer. March Madness is just fun, founded back in the 60s for me, although recently (One and Done) my interest has waned. Loved the old college days: Artis Gilmore, Ernie D, Maravich, Freeman Williams, James "Fly" Williams-Austin Peay College. "Fly is open, let's go Peay....". Will the Pac get 3 or 4 or 5 teams in ?
Once UCLA and Arizona got the right coaches in place it didn't take long for both programs to return to their historical place as the two best teams in the conference. Cronin is easily the best coach in the league and T. Lloyd is a master at assembling a Euro All Star team in the desert..
Andrew - nicely done! I hope you get to write updates as the tournament unfolds. My favorite line "like dogs who think the ball is a pot roast". The Ducks need better guard play on offense in terms of making 3's and creating shots for others. Payton Pritchard is not walking through that door. I can only see a UCLA vs Arizona final... but will be fun to watch it unfold.
I did enjoy the “intellectual pattern” of this article. I will admit I just about sent half my soda out my nose when USC’s Guy not walking through the door was Tom Selleck. Was he a power forward?
