EUGENE — Oregon beat Washington State 38-24 on Saturday at Autzen Stadium.

Bucky Irving rushed for 129 yards and scored three touchdowns. The Ducks improved to 6-1. WSU quarterback Cam Ward threw for 438 yards in a losing effort.

I filed a column from Autzen Stadium with a question: How far can Bucky Irving carry the Ducks? Irving was so good on Saturday that I reached out to former Oregon running back LaMichael James to see what he thought.
