Watching the game. As a long time Beaver supporter, I don’t recall a time that I have been prouder to be a Beaver. They have so much heart. PAC12 “be dammed”.
As for the broadcast, if PAC network can’t find people to pronounce DJ’s last name perhaps they should just skip the broadcasters and pay for Mike Parker to call the game.
This is not a crib befitting a second-tier programme (which the Beavers are not). It's a million miles from the glorified HS field that was Parker Stadium - and something of which Beaver Nation can be proud. Congratulations, OSU.
Once more as a former Direct TV subscriber and a new Youtube TV streamer I couldn't watch the game because the one PAC12 station on Youtube had a different game on during the Beavers game. I listened to Mike Parker, ugh this is just killing me! Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO, Netflix, Apple TV(NOPE).
Your photog takes some great photos! The most striking for me is one showing all star Beaver football players like Jonathan Smith and Brandon Cooks superimposed over a log’s tree rings telling the modern history of the program.
We spent $450M in phase I of the renovation and stopped and we are screwed as far as debt. However, if you sit n the east side you will bake in the sun and sit on crummy benches. head on over to the West side which as been redone and you nice seats, bench backs, and a great concession stand. However, we stink so badly these days that once you have a ticket go sit on the west side.
I personally was hoping we would give up football as opposed to crawling on our knees for $8M a year till 2035 so I gave up my season tickets and care very little for college football these days...the Niners and the Dubs are enough for me!
Well I do not watch college football any more, just as I no longer watch any news on TV; not on any social media post nowhere else but the NY Times. I'm retired so I have time. With football I still casually check it out, read a few things and that is about it. I watched Cal last night till I realized they stink just like always and might win 4-5 games so I will not tune them in either....as we say say, "Same old smelly Bears." Casual indifference is different than rabid season ticket holding fan as I used to be.
I fell into this board, don't pay, but I like John's writing, but I used to be on Bear Insider too. So I enjoy the writing and posts here, but I have reached the indifference stage. I have my views from growing up in LA, going to Cal and having children that went to Cal and Stanford so I can take it or leave it basically...capiche?

What a gorgeous stadium. I'm pondering doing a road trip to see the Utes at Reser so that I can check it out first-hand.

How the hell are they gonna pay for it playing in the Mountain West or Mid-Valley Conference or wherever they're going?
