PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State quarterback Cam Ward threw for 404 yards and four touchdowns as the Cougars won the “Pac-2” battle on Saturday.
Final: Washington State 38, Oregon State 35.
The Cougars scored on the second play from scrimmage on a 63-yard scoring pass from Ward to receiver Kyle Williams. WSU built a 35-14 lead in the second half and held on in the final minute to advance to 4-0 for the first time since 2017.
“I’ll say it again — we belong,” said WSU coach Jake Dickert.
OSU’s Deshaun Fenwick had three rushing touchdowns. Quarterback DJ Uiagalelei was 17 of 34 passing for 198 yards and one touchdown. He also threw one interception.
