CORVALLIS — Oregon State utilized a potent run game and scored a fun defensive touchdown to beat Purdue 38-21 on Saturday.
OSU linebacker Zakaih Saez scored on an interception return for a TD when the ball bounced off an intended receiver’s foot, and ricocheted into his hands. Saez raced to the end zone for a score.
The Pac-12’s social media account called it a “Kick-6.”
The Beavers rushed for 341 total yards. Running back Jam Griffin accounted for 137 of them and fellow running back Anthony Hankerson (89 yards) scored two touchdowns.
Oregon State improved to 3-1 after beating the Big Ten opponent at home. I wrote a column from the stadium press box about all the oddities in college football this season. Photographer Tim Healy was on the scene at Reser Stadium.

OSU with a gratifying win and a good game. WSU with a gratifying win and a great game. PAC12 with a couple of weeks of macro level gratifying wins and a great expansion game.
Outstanding and NOT unexpected.
