I love pictures that can tell a story- especially the one with both cheer teams standing together. Thank you Serena and Naji- you both captured a historic game.

They never got a vote to end the PAC, and there they are standing side by side.

That photo of Mateo and DJ was awesome. Sort of epitomized the emotion of this game which is the end of a storied rivalry

We attended the last civil war game last night. I am glad I was there, to see the end. But sad to see it come to a close. I still remember my first civil war game in 1993. OSU won 15-12, as both teams finished with losing records and were at the bottom of the conference.

Since then, both schools built world class programs and have competed for national championships. The Beavers had more success early while the Ducks have had more success in the last decade.

A few scenes from last night that I will remember:

- the battle of the marching bands before the game. I had never heard the OSU band before. They were impressive. The pregame formation of the O and OSU too...

- the Duck entrance from above the stadium... flying high... dangerous...all alone...seemed fitting...

- OSU band playing during the "Coming Home (Oregon)" sing along after the 1st quarter. I was happy to see them keep the "stick it in your face" rivalry going until the end.

- the last goal line stand for the Beavers vs the Ducks. Fittingly ended in a Duck touchdown, and of course the Duck win that takes us to Vegas next weekend.

Honestly...while the day was special and filled with memories...it was also a massive disconnect...the entire day felt disjointed.

My favorite rivalry is done. My favorite FB post of "Go Ducks, Beavers Suck" is no more. .

My son Nate decided years ago that he was going to "take the road less traveled" and be a Beaver Believer. The fun we have teasing each other about our teams is done.

Walking around the stadium, it was as if both the Ducks and Beavers fans struggled to know what to do. There was some friendly jabs, but the punch wasn't there. We were all trying to feel the rivalry but we couldn't muster it.

As the game was winding down, a muffled chant of "na na na goodbye" faded shortly after it started. Fittingly.

Herbstreit said today on GameDay he likes Daniels at LSU for The Heisman. I believe he has a Heisman ballot. Is it OK with The Committee that he is using a national platform to broadcast his vote intentions?

Sweet pics, as always

“F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote once that “the test of first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function.””

Considering the massive failures of recent, it makes these words entirely apropos as we close down the PAC12. A brutal reminder of the “progress” being made in big time college football

I agree the Beavers seemed a bit gassed. Oregon’s short passing game is ON.

Vegas will be a game to remember, for many reasons

GO DAWGS

Matayo is the correct spelling for DJ’s lil bro. Disappointing game to end the regular season for the Beavs, but the better team won tonight.

Go Beavs 🧡🖤
