If Oregon starts the Washington game like they did the Stanford contest, the Huskies will pound them early and never look back. If the Ducks get off to a fast start, it ends up as a shoot out, and the last team to score will win. Not scientific, just a gut reaction.

After watching the Huskies almost give it up last night to barely win by 7, I'd much rather end the game on a 42 to zip run like the Ducks Both teams were on the road which will certainly help UW in two weeks with that game in Seattle. Still to have your game saved by a late 4 quarter INT off a 1st time starting QB makes you wonder.

Go Ducks! Beat Huskies! and always remember.

Kenny Wheaton is going to score!

Take a look at the Wildcats. The Huskies are working very hard to put these guys away, & it’s not easy!

Won't disagree with your observation--which is why the shoot out scenario is the likely outcome in my mind unless the Ducks struggle early to move the football.

It’s great to see Andrew Luck as he gets into the Stanford HOF. He is a good guy and worthy for sure. As for 10/14, it’s gonna be a war. If the Ducks use the bye week wisely, they win on the road in a close (1-4 pts) game. But I suck at this, so what do I know?

If Oregon continues to play great secondary defense along with their defensive line play, they'll beat the Huskys in a close one. I'll say 35-28

If the Ducks frontline defenders start getting to Penix he will turn into a average quarterback. Ducks win this game 35 24!

Oregon is able to make adjustments. Something we never saw in the Cristobal era. Oregon v. Washington will be the game of the year....my prediction, they meet again in the Pac 12 championship. UsC is a paper tiger...no defense. They're a slightly better version of Colorado. That was obvious this weekend.

The teams feel like they both have high level talent. It will come down to who starts fastest, fewest penalties, and mental miscues. Just like every week. These are 2 elite programs and it will be interesting to watch them the final year of the PAC and as they roll I tandem into the BIG!

Great photos. Gotta drink that Duck blood. Kids all Ducked out playing sandlot football, classic.

Most meaningful game In quite awhile

GO DAWGS

College Game Day should be there kicking off the festivities. Go Ducks!

I like it! The Battle in Seattle! This one does mean something. It should have all the hype with two top 10 teams ready to go! Go Ducks!

One caveat is Jackson being healthy in that the puppies have not been up against DBs like ours

We have a more balanced attack with 3 running back (IF Whittington is back??

Their defense has not faced a QB like Bo Nix

puppies are good and I am looking forward to see the opening line from LV and I expect it to them being slightly favored due to having a home game

To quote Stewart Mandel....'Oregon might just be that good'. I am starting to see something in this team we haven't seen in recent history....decent pass and run blocking...an effective pass rush and run stoppers, to match the flashy skill players the Ducks have always seemed to have. It's hard to know what will happen in Seattle but I'll say this, with all due respect to the Huskies: I think Oregon will be the best defense they have faced; and I think Oregon's offence will be the best they have faced. I like Oregon's chances - and payback is a bitch.

Offense has to get in rhythm early, defense is looking good but will need a better effort from Nix and co. Hopefully some rest will heel .. Naysayers look no further than mighty USC .. Ducks 27-17..on another note the Chargers need a head coach.. lay down on a pick 6????

I think the ducks win a close one. They are starting to resemble the Georgia bulldogs from when Lanning was there. Wearing teams out with big lines and depth.

Uw is really good- so if they win at home and I'm wrong I won't be shocked. I just think this game has been circled from last year.

Oregon will need 4 good quarters to win in Seattle, but the Ducks are a more complete team. They may not shut down Penix altogether, but they will score, shut down the run, and make the huskies more one-dimensional than they have been. Ducks win in an offensive explosion... 55-45.

It’s going to be a great game. Ducks need to come out strong & focused. Huskies will be fired up at home. Ducks by 7. 💚💛💚

ESPN wins on 10/14. (Or is it a fox game?)

The BIG wins on 10/14 (for as prestigious a conference, surprisingly weak on marquis rivalries)

UW offense vs UO Defense. Strong vs Medium

UO Offense, vs UW Defense. Strong vs medium-low?

I think this would be a closer game if UW came into this having been tested. Zona may be the best team UW has played prior to this game.

I dunno but I’d love to know 10/14 game time as I’m attending

But who wins the rematch in the PAC12 championship?

Joe The S's avatar

I’m dying on this hill. The most pac-12 thing is to put 2 teams into the final 4 team playoff, going out in a blaze of glory moments before it ceases to exist.

Right now, the 4 best teams are (in no specific order) Texas, Michigan, Oregon, and UW or UGa.

Tell me you don’t want a UW v Michigan and Oregon V Texas semi.

Timothy Moran's avatar

I want Oregon v. GA...that team aint last year's team. They played Auburn about as well as Cal....Cal??

Joe The S's avatar

It would also be the most sweet a national championship could be if it game on the dying gasp of UWs season.

Oregon wins an extremely close game.
