STANFORD, Calif. — Oregon scored 42 unanswered points on Saturday against Stanford to win in a blowout. The Ducks are 5-0 for the first time since 2013.
Final: Oregon 42, Stanford 6.
Quarterback Bo Nix threw four touchdown passes, two of them to favorite target Troy Franklin. Bucky Irving and Jordan James both rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown. The Ducks head to their bye week undefeated and 2-0 in Pac-12 play. They’ll face Washington on the road on Oct. 14 in a Pacific Northwest showdown at Husky Stadium.

If Oregon starts the Washington game like they did the Stanford contest, the Huskies will pound them early and never look back. If the Ducks get off to a fast start, it ends up as a shoot out, and the last team to score will win. Not scientific, just a gut reaction.
It’s great to see Andrew Luck as he gets into the Stanford HOF. He is a good guy and worthy for sure. As for 10/14, it’s gonna be a war. If the Ducks use the bye week wisely, they win on the road in a close (1-4 pts) game. But I suck at this, so what do I know?
