EUGENE — Oregon clobbered Montana State on Saturday, 59-13 at Autzen Stadium.
Quarterback Dante Moore threw three touchdown passes. I wrote a column with my takeaways from the UO season-opening victory. The Ducks played loose and free, like a program that isn’t living with regret.
Photographer Naji Saker was on the scene for JohnCanzano.com. I asked him how it felt to be back inside a college football stadium, photographing a game that counts, with 57,257 fans there to see it.
Saker said: “Nice to shake the rust off since the College Football Playoff national championship game and spring game. The Duck mascot’s head falling off was a perfect picture of what Week 1 is for everyone. Oregon playing ‘Coming Home’ after the first quarter is such a hit, and by the time ‘Shout’ came on after the third quarter, it truly felt like college football in Eugene is back.”

Some great shots, but my favorite is the one of Coach with his wife and their boys in tow. Spoke 1,000 words+.
I can't remember a more talented Duck team, as Lanning truly makes this team his own. Looking forward to see how all that talent deals with stiffer challenges, especially in the secondary.
Hair-raising photos! Thanks!
