SALT LAKE CITY — Oregon beat Utah 35-6 on Saturday at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Quarterback Bo Nix threw two touchdown passes and the Ducks defense held the Utes to a pair of field goals. Oregon improved to 7-1 this season and remains in the race for a berth to the Pac-12 Conference championship. No. 13-ranked Utah dropped to 6-2.
I was in Salt Lake City for the game and filed a column about Oregon’s victory. It was a strong statement by Dan Lanning’s team.
Photographer Rob Gray was also at the game.

Nice pics Rob- especially the coaches shaking hands. Great game in pictures!
John, Thanks for telling the Ducks & Utes story. These two teams have each been the Pac-12 champions two of the last four years. The Ducks coaching staff did great game planning and coaching jobs for this game, and the players kept their eyes on the prize.
