LUBBOCK, Tex. — Quarterback Bo Nix threw two touchdown passes and the Oregon Ducks defense held tight in the closing seconds on Saturday.
Final: Oregon 38, Texas Tech 30.
I posted a column from Lubbock about the game, including a fun scene featuring Oregon donor Phil Knight.
Photographer Olivia Raymond was at Jones AT&T Stadium on Saturday. Her terrific photo gallery captured the action:

Your photographers do a great job...I know you appreciate them but let them know your readers do, too. Fun game - early in the season but a real important win - albeit sloppy - for the Ducks. Real important.
Still seems we have great recruiters who are lost during the game. Talent won tonight, nothing tactical. Our defensive minded head coach gives up a lot of points. The offense was janky. This game looked a lot more like the UW and OSU games than it should have if they have any self awareness and analytical ability. That last defensive play that led to a score was all about the players, not scheme. Dorlus is very very good. Won’t have a talent advantage against SC.
