CORVALLIS — Oregon beat Oregon State to win the 128th Civil War football game.
Final: Ducks 49, Beavers 14.
Dillon Gabriel completed 20 of 24 passes for 291 yards and two touchdowns for Oregon. Tez Johnson had 110 receiving yards. The Ducks improved to 3-0.
The Beavers (2-1) got two touchdowns from running back Anthony Hankerson in the first half. But OSU was outscored 27-0 in the second half.
I wrote a column about the Civil War football game. The same rivals. The same mascots and colors. But Saturday’s rivalry game felt like an imposter.
