They did themselves, their school and the old PAC-12 proud! Well done, Ducks!

Cousinard and Dante. To end their Oregon careers with performances that broke PAC12 legendary records (ie Lou Alcinder's) and both have their career high scoring games in this tourney after leading the Ducks to the last PAC12 tourney championship ever. Wow! What warriors. Proud to be Ducks.

That said its hard for two guys to carry a team. Game was lost when Shelstad got hurt.

A picture tells a thousand words- thank you Emma for capturing the game with your amazing pictures. What a game, and effort, by Couisnard and Dante - combining for 60 points out of 73. That says it all. I think you could tell the depleted team was tired. I’m proud of them, the coaches, and their accomplishments; I mean after all, they weren’t expected to win the P12 conference championship or the first round, and they did. Thanks for covering the game John.

Nice run - no shame

John,

Your photographers throughout the conference and now the NCAA Men’s and Women’s tournaments have been top notch.

It’s always disappointing to lose. The Duck’s tournament run was unexpected, at least for me. I had written them off in mid February. Obviously, I should have had more faith in Altman’s coaching and the players character. Tired legs were their undoing in the final OT. Altman, with a depleted bench, had no option but to “Dance with the one(s) who brung ya!”

Proud of the team. Thanks for a fun ride. Go Ducks!

Several observations about last night:

If Creighton hit their threes early, there would have been no double OT. They were flat out cold in the first half, and really, most of the game.

Couisnard and Dante had to do just about everything and were exhausted. When is a choke hold on Jermaine not a foul? No help from the rest of the team. I feel bad for the Shelstad and his ankle. That really sucks.

Officiating was favorable toward Creighton (two early Couisnard first half fouls to take a guy out; no foul shots for Oregon until late in the game?). Come on NCAA… It turned out to be One Shining Moment: The Hunger Games.

And finally, Orange is right (yikes). You pull Dante when you’re up 4 in regulation. I’m still pissed about it. With all the chips stacked against the Ducks, it could have been Oregon in the Sweet Sixteen with better foul shooters. OT should have never happened.

The Ducks had the game won at the end of regulation and choked it away. They had the ball with 34 seconds left, up by 4, in control. You miss the shot, fine, then the next possession, it unraveled. Have Dante inbound the ball, if not, then don't inbound it to him, he's the worst free throw shooter on the floor and everybody knew that, that's basic basketball. He missed the front end and it gave CU a chance. It never should have gone to OT.

Not having Shelstad for the two overtime's was the deciding factor. Not sure if they had pulled out the win, how they would have gone forward in the tournament with their point guard sidelined. That being said, super proud of the Ducks for being able to win the games that got them to this point. Dante & Couisard will be greatly missed next year. So many teams didn’t even make the tournament, so…. hard to say geez we would have won if this or that had been done. Thanks for a great season Oregon💚💛

Always Go Ducks!

This is the first Oregon Ducks game I watched from beginning to end and got the entire picture. Wow, is that team one-dimensional! It is a one-trick pony with Dante and Couisnard running the high pick and roll over and over again. It works amazingly well considering it is so predictable, attesting to their skills. Eventually Creighton adjusted and took that play away and then the Ducks were stuck since the other three on the court did nothing the entire game. I did not realize how thin the Ducks team is until last night. Altman got all he could out of this limited team and should be commended.

Losing Shelstad was bad. He was the only scoring option beyond the Big 2 - not to mention the point guard. I for one give this team props for continuing to fight. And Coach Altman: stay right where you are, please.

Great photos—Emma did a good job capturing the game in stills. The Ducks did a stellar job getting this far given injuries and limited roster. There is no shame or regret in losing to a deeper foe like Creighton.

Such a great game to watch. Nobody is better at getting the most out of a bad situation than Altman has done having had so many injured players. The players and coaches should feel proud of what they accomplished. I am a very proud fan.

Amazed that the two could almost pull it off. It was a good run, thanks for the $$.

I wouldn’t trade Dana for any other coach - but where was our inbound play at the end to get it into the hands of our best free throw shooters? I know they were gassed - but none of our better shooters even moved to get open. I’m sure Dana is losing sleep on not calling a timeout to get the inbound pass to one of our better % foul shooters. The clock always strikes midnight for the Cinderella’s in OT.

Altman should have had Dante inbound the ball at the end of regulation. That would have takin him out of the equation for being fouled. The game was lost there.
