I like both of your strategies on Wordle, actually. I go a third direction, I want as many strong letters as I can like George, but I try to never use the same word twice to start, even if it means that the first word isn't that great. I enjoy the challenge of going with a word that pops into my head and then figuring it out, rather than giving myself the best mathematical chance to get it quickly. I think you're onto something, I bet people's approach to Wordle probably says alot about them. Fun angle!

John, were you a home run hitter in baseball? I play at least two vowels & mix it up on my first guess. I figure it gives me the best chance at solving it in two or three tries. Single & doubles make for successful baseball teams. Using the same word on first try is like going for home runs every time to the plate, which means likely you will have to wait a long time to score or it won’t happen at all.

I’m looking for a grand slam.
