Give the kid credit for what he has done. Maybe he won’t get us to the promised land but so far it has been a great ride. As for the Bevs, back seat driving is always the best!
I have to admit, I'm already thinking about next year. If the Ducks return the majority of their starters....and Lanning convinces Bo to stay for another year, it just may be the right formula for an undefeated season.
Letting the QB make his own decisions is always a little risky... but that is how they learn. I like this for a grad student like Bo, who has a high football IQ.
Calib is the dude in a league with many dude QB's. So many great Pac 12 QB's this year. Fun to watch. UCLA, USC, OREGON, UTES, WASHINGTON, ARIZONA, WSU. All studs.
Caleb Williams is the dude? Interesting. USC and Oregon are both 7-1 and the Ducks are ranked higher. Bo has 31 TD's to Caleb's 27. Bo also has a higher QBR - 6th nationally compared to Caleb's 9th ranked QBR. I'm gonna go ahead and say Bo might be "the dude" in the league.
Caleb didn't lose by 45... a one point ranking makes no difference ... NFL will pick Caleb earlier due to his size and arm strength. Both are dude's and both are transfsrs.
Bo is the “straw that stirs the drink” version of Reggie Jackson for the Ducks. As long as he stays healthy the Ducks will be in every game they play for the remainder of the season.
He’s definitely fun to watch and we fans hope the right people see his worth. I have a feeling no matter what he’ll keep learning from his coaches, will execute and win the game.
Bo Nix is easy to root for. He's a great comeback story. He's a faith, family, football kinda guy. It would be great to see his perseverance paid of with at least a Heisman nomination.
Oregon was a little slow getting it going, but came out gangbusters in the second half. I think they're a very, very good team at this point, but maybe not a great team like Georgia, Tennessee and Ohio State.
Humbly apologize for my thinking if Nix couldn't beat out the kid, he had too many flaws... The combination of his maturity, Along with a coach that seems to have his finger on the pulse of this team
Well you can hope but I wouldn’t bet on it. You might also concentrate on who’s on your schedule next instead of looking ahead to Nov. 26th🙄 Go Ducks!!!!
Hey Beaver troll. Dream all you want, but that won’t happen. Regardless of the size and capacity of your second rate stadium. Wasn’t your team throttled by Utah a few weeks ago? Oh, what was that bowl game they played in last year? Or recently? Remind us of how many PAC 12 titles the Beavers have won, or when they last played in the title game. We’ll wait.
Our stadium in not second rate (the addition will be awesome).
Our team is getting better.
Utah is a good team and we lost our starting QB in the first quarter.
Last year we played in the Jimmy Kimmel Bowl but I think we will play in a better bowl this year but I chose not to live in the past as far as titles and bowls but Ducks have had a great run since Rich Brooks.
Wishing the Ducks continued success until Thanksgiving weekend.
I was extremely skeptical of the Bo Nix experiment from the moment his transfer was announced. I held onto hope Ty Thompson would benefit from a new coaching staff and take over this season, even if Bo opened week 1 as the starter, I figured he'd be the same as he was at Auburn and eventually Dan and Dilly would turn to Ty. I am happy to admit I was 100% wrong. Aside from week 1 (and a few head scratching decisions here and there over the next few weeks) Bo has been absolutely amazing. His relationship with Dilly is key to this I think. It is no surprise his best season at Auburn was his freshman year when Dilly was OC. They just seem to click. Love watching Bo run this offense and seeing Oregon football be fun again and lighting up the scoreboard. He should 100% be in the Heisman conversation, and if he puts up huge games against top-15 Utah and perhaps a top-10 USC in the conference championship game he may just earn an invite to New York.

I’m a COG Dad but love the Nix journey. Thanks.
He’s been really fun to watch. I was completely wrong about him and so glad I was!
You've got to interview his parents... this is turning out to be
a great story.
Another great column. Remember the egg the Ducks laid at a Boise State opener a few years ago, and where the season ended?
I have to admit, I'm already thinking about next year. If the Ducks return the majority of their starters....and Lanning convinces Bo to stay for another year, it just may be the right formula for an undefeated season.
Great idea, but if he' top 3 in the Heisman race - way he stays.

Been watching the Ducks since 1968 so nothing will surprise me but hope springs eternal.
He'll unravel at the end. Ducks always do.
See you on Nov. 26. It will be the beginning of the end.
Go Beavs!!!
