I'm amused by the adulation accorded Lincoln Riley before his first game at USC. A little premature, IMHO.

1.) There are a few things in Pac-12 football that you can always count on. One is that UCLA will always underachieve. Despite their significant recruiting advantages, this has been true forever.

2.) Both Will Smith and Chris Rock were wrong, but Will Smith was more wrong. You don't hit people because you don't like what they said.

For L. Riley and his family's sake things better go well and right soon. Trojan Fan is not patient and the LA media can be brutal.

Chris Rock's comment was in poor taste, yeah, but he's a comedian who has always pushed the envelope. Will Smith did a punk thug thing but has now issued (or his publicist did) a public appology to Rock.

They both wrong. Flush it.

Lots of interesting football facts. But, as usual there’s one guy who has to go to the extreme. $17.2 mil for a house? 13,000 sq. Feet? I suppose if you have it you have the right to spend it as you wish. And, I thought professional players were extravagant and over the top.

Rock and Smith? Both need to re-examine their words and actions. But, in the wide scheme of things and what’s going on in the world around us…who cares. Keep your battles private.

Looking forward to your next article John…

Thanks for the insight into Pac 12 Football. It’s an exciting & anticipated season coming up with what looks like an open field. The Beav’s have a chance to take steps forward. Will Smith & Chris Rock are both wrong. But Chris Rock should better than to target a mans wife with insensitive remarks, especially considering it’s related to a medical condition.
