I'm not sure how this tournament is any more of a money grab than an other professional event. As for the Saudi ownership of the tour, the USA is the largest trading partner with Saudi Arabia and a strategic military partner in the middle east. America welcomes doing business with Saudis; why shouldn't Pumpkin Ridge again?
Escalante doesn't care about golf, but it does care about money. IMO, the Saudis are only about money as well. They are autocrats and have an abysmal record when it comes to human rights. Greg Norman is a pig. And I used to be a fan.
