Week 1 of the college football season already feels like a blast. (Photo: Serena Morones)

I used to think my superpower was being able to lift a suitcase and guess its weight before putting it on the scale at the airport terminal.

Wrong.

Turns out, I’m clairvoyant.

My college football predictions for Week 1 have been perfect. I’m 3-0 vs. the point spread and 3-0 picking games straight up. I’ve also been eerily accurate with the scores themselves.

My prediction: Colorado 31, North Dakota State 24

Outcome: Colorado 31, North Dakota State 26

My prediction: Utah 45, S. Utah 0

Outcome: Utah 49, S. Utah 0

My prediction: TCU 34, Stanford 27

Outcome: TCU 34, Stanford 27

I’m knocking on wood, linking my weekend picks, and packing for Las Vegas.

I still need to get through a dozen more football games, but if I finish the week 15-0, there isn’t a soul who would blame me for filing my Monday Mailbag from the sportsbook at Wynn.

How am I doing it?

Glad you asked.
