Brian, I hear New Brunswick is lovely in late November. Why the Ducks can even take in a Broadway show on their trips to New Jersey. Expand and enrich their cultural boundaries and all that...

LOL...the Utes are going to a place where they can compete for a spot in the CFP and CCG every single year. I'll take that over countless millions that I'll never see or won't have any impact in my life and the numerous beatings your team will take in the B1G. Have fun being a punching bag. Then again, not judging, some people like that...
I get it. ItтАЩs ok you moved on from the PAC but you donтАЩt think too much about Oregon and Washington moving on. I sense a touch of resentment and jealousy with your comment but then again, youтАЩre a Utah fan.
Utah and ASU moved on from the PAC because Oregon and Washington forced their hands, not vice versa. I'm not jealous at all about your move because I know that Utah cannot compete regularly in the B1G. Just like Oregon and Washington will not be able to compete regularly in the B1G. Oh, you might put together a decent team here and there occasionally, but then your dreams will implode in Columbus, Happy Valley, Ann Arbor, East Lansing, wherever. I'd rather be part of a slightly lower tier conference, where I already have many historical rivals and can actually drive to away games, than be part of some Frankenstein that guarantees me more money but also the role of a perpetual underdog. Remember this, not all change is progress.
People who have not lived in the B1G for any length of time (like me) have no idea how dominant Michigan and Ohio State are. The Duck fans are about to find out.
If there are better teams you play, you get better playing them. Funny how that works. If you're relevant, you get better recruits, more media time which means more exposure which means more relevance as I said. In football, soon there will be a twelve team playoff. Oregon football can still lose two games and get in. In the PAC, it never happened. Heard of east coast bias? It's a real thing. It won't be such a hurdle as before will it? Overall, playing in a legit conference, a super conference with tv times on the east coast on at 7:00 pm instead of 10:00 pm is a beautiful thing. All combined, Oregon and Washington would have been stupid no to take this invitation. We just did it!
BTW, Uncle Phil isn't the only large donor at Oregon. Do a little research and you'll find multiple large doners and a high percentage of lesser doners that make up the total. Phil Knight's estate and donations will continue long after he is gone. And don't forget NIL $$. That's separate and it's something I don't like but it's a fact that will be staying around.
"If there are better teams you play, you get better playing them.". Oh, it's that how it's worked for Nebraska? A program whose history makes Oregon look like pee wee football. How about Michigan State? Or Purdue? Or Iowa? Oh yeah, they've all gotten better being continuously beaten down by tOSU, UM, and PSU. But hey, you know what, if you're happy with your narrative, that's all that matters.
You must have never played competitive sports. Individually if youтАЩre not as good as your competitors you do get better playing against better athletes or you just quit. Lol. Teams are the same. Hopefully youтАЩll find out because not all of the schools youтАЩll go up against are patsies. Kansas in basketball, Oklahoma and Baylor in football. YouтАЩll see. Have fun.
I have played competitive sports but that's irrelevant. I gave you concrete examples of universities that have better college football histories, larger fan bases, and far larger media markets than Oregon but yet haven't been able to do absolutely anything about the tyranny of tOSU and UM for decades. Heck, I could even throw in teams like Indiana and Minnesota for that matter. You must be delusional thinking that a team like Oregon, in a state with 2/3 the population of Minnesota, with mediocre HS football, is going to sit at the B1G adult table.
With the portal, the best Ducks players won't quit, they will transfer to Ohio State or Michigan. Have fun with your dream league. You will get your dreams crushed there. Eugene ain't Columbus or any city in Ohio

Haha. We'll take it. Oops, guess we left you in the dust.......again. And the utes are going where?

DonтАЩt worry about Oregon. Worry about your team.
You got it...but you can bet that I'll be enjoying the schadenfreude.

Tell that to Nebraska and Purdue. They have been waiting 20+ years for the benefit of getting kicked around by Ohio State
TheyтАЩre not good enough.
LOL!!! But the Ducks are. Man, you are really full of yourself, aren't you?
