Anyone who paints F ** K Utah on his fingernails while playing Utah should not win the Heisman. Not what I call “pursuit of excellence with integrity.”
Nobody asked you. It's not about fingernail paint. Self-righteous indignation over such a small matter (you had to be foot away to see it) is a waist of time. Spare us! His contribution and athletic skills are obvious. He is a spectacular athlete. First pick in first round. Pro teams don't care about a teenagers prank.
When you have to cuss, you have already lost the argument. So he is no class for saying "fU" on his nails but your not after using it to respond to my response. Rather hypocritical wouldn't you say?

Sorry my "prank" went over your head. I hate cursing. but trying to make a point so I had to bring it down to your level. Thanks for pointing out your hypocrisy about indignation.
Now it was a prank and not criticism. Nice obfuscation. Try giving credit where it is do. Caleb passed for 4000 yards & 37 TD's. Not to shabby. BTW, we all see FB players cussing all the time on TV. I watched the GOAT Brady
Who is us? It made national news. Character revealed The “teenager” is 20. Self Righteous? Wonder how his parents feel. If that was my son I would be pissed.
Waste...I normally wouldn't go there but if you re-read your posts you keep calling out people for their self righteousness while sounding...well, self righteous...
I feel like coaches are the most qualified people to actually vote on these things, moreso than the media. And splitting the CotY also makes sense, even if that wasn't the express purpose, just the end result. It's harder to go from 4 to 10 wins as DeBoer did, but it's harder to get 9 wins in Corvallis than 10 in Seattle, so it's a hard call between the two. Riley and Whittingham both had great seasons, but didn't exceed expectations in the same way the two co-winners did.
I tended to lean toward DeBoer, using the head to head win (with a couple of Smith mistakes causing it) the tiebreaker. But you are correct, 9 wins in Corvallis is harder to do than 10 in Seattle. The good news for the conference is that several teams in the top half were not only better than recently or expected, but also showing signs of a continued upward trajectory, not a 1 time spike that won't be sustainable.
Lots of good coaching performances when you have six ranked teams and a seventh team that played well against tough competition. Have to pick a winner based on resources they drew from, so good choices.
I enjoyed reading you take on the coache's votes for the standout coaches and players of the year.
On another subject, I don't think Deon Sanders selection as Colorado's head football coach will benefit the PAC 12. I noticed that Deon's first move was to tell CU's returning players that they should hit the transfer portal. If that report is accurate, that is a Bush league move. I know some coaches do that and that he wants to build a program but that doesn't make it right. I think he will have problems adjusting to the expectations in the PAC12.
John . I agree totally ! John Robinson , past SC Coach , had the same philosophy ; and he made SC great !! Deon will help make the Pac 12 better ! Old school coaching is what is needed now with these spoiled players !
Watch the speech, he didn't tell them to leave. He told them hes was going to make them work so hard they would WANT to leave. And if they were not down for that just go ahead and get in the portal now because there are guys out there who want this enough to do the work. He said, there are a lot of you who wont be starting any more, everyone earns their spot I dont care who you are.
I think too many outsiders took what they heard too literally. He's telling them there are going to be big changes, more accountability, and it's not going to be easy on them. And considering he was talking to a team that went 1-11, chances are there were some guys sitting in those seats who probably do need to find another school.
I don't know if he'll be successful, but he'll get players at Colorado they weren't getting before. If he can sell 4 and 5 star recruits on Jackson State, he can sell them on Colorado.
agreed, it was as much about respect as it was anything else. I got guys coming who I know will work for it so put up or shut up and earn the opportunity.
On the contrary. Deon Sanders is a disciplinarian ... and a proven excellent Coach. Not to mention, entertaining and Old School . He is the new “Spark “ for the Pac 12, badly needed with the SC / UCLA exits !
Forget the Lanning Hype, which at best this year was a C+ Coaching grade . Sanders is like Jonathan Smith , smart and creative, with great experience . Colorado will be
A favored team to play against because of Deon Sanders !
You called it , as always !....Both UW and Coach Jonathan deserved to share Pac 12 Coach of the year. OSU was 1 defended Pass away from playing in the Pac 12 Championship game. The race is now on for the next best QB now that Nix is one and done !....NO ONE knows better QB play then the Fiesta Bowl MVP QB
Smith !....let the Nike media fawn over whomever Lanning is able to get..!.... No one knows QB play better then Smith ! I’ll take his choice over Lanning’s , any day of the week !
John. UO’s reputation is built primarily on the media “Hype” given to this school based on the advertising dollars paid by the Nike company to advertise Nike and UO football; it is an unfair advantage .
OSU is a much larger school in student enrollment then it’s other Oregon public university, UO, so one would expect more sporting news about OSU. However , the advertising dollars paid by Nike to various Fishwrap news media facilitates more hyped news about the DuX....keep your fairness articles !
so in terms of fairness, my vote for Coach of the Year was Jonathon Smith or Kaleb DeBor over Utah's Coach Whit.
By the same token on the players side, Utah led the Pac12 defense in practically most every category (source Fox Pac12 CG pregame). Clark Phillips could have sleep walked into his 1st team since most of the award is based on reputation. But why is only one Utah guy on the first team and Blackman from USC is there when their defense got shredded. Cole Bishop should have made the All Pac-12 defensive team.
Coach of the Year of award properly split. Also like the nice collection of Beavs on the all-conference list. And kudos to Anthony Gould and Jack Colleto for special teams honors. Hard to feel anything but warm and fuzzy about this year’s awards overall.
I thought the totals racked up by Oregon State were phenomenal. I saw (19) including the honorable mentions. That is almost the entire 1st string. The Beavers also had (5) on the 1st Team and (4) on the second team. That is such a tremendous improvement over past years, the reason the Beavs are a top level QB from CFP contention, and all the credit goes to Coach Smith for finding mid and low- 3 star athletes and getting them competitive against the 4 and 5 star players on other teams
Thank you Jon! Everyone, including JC, acknowledges that QB was the Achilles heel of the Beavers in 2022. They lost two games because of the weak QB play, missed receivers and interceptions. I think even the Utah loss might have been different outcome with a high quality QB. The Beavs have the O line, WRs, RBs, TE, D and kicking game. The D line could be tougher, and will be with two high level recruits. QB was the only missing link. Aidan Chiles was not going to do it as a rookie. DJU is the answer. Coach Smith will "coach him up" to his potential. The Beavs will contend for the Pac-12 and CFP in 2023 and will give the Ducks a game in Eugene. Happy Holidays!
I think they both did great jobs, but I have to give the nod to DeBoer.
The speed at which he took a total dumpster fire and transformed the culture and roster as need be, into a 10 (maybe 11) win team is staggering.
Smith did a good job also, but it's been a multiyear build and so I think accolades for him really are more about an overall accomplishment to this point, and not necessarily about this year.
Anyone who paints F ** K Utah on his fingernails while playing Utah should not win the Heisman. Not what I call “pursuit of excellence with integrity.”
I hope he loses and everyone just says, LOL.
Thumbs up!
Not even close bud!

He put it out there himself and deserves all the ridicule.
well FU. I am barely out of my teens. And thanks in advance for not getting indignant.

Hey. Bob. Like the big word. But you missed on the little word.
It’s “due” not “do”
Going off last night. It's football.
Who is us? It made national news. Character revealed The “teenager” is 20. Self Righteous? Wonder how his parents feel. If that was my son I would be pissed.
Shows lack of character.

Dumbass coaches
What kind of up bringing did he have????
I guess UTAH handed it to him nicely!!!!!
I enjoyed watching that game!!!!

The coaches were deadlocked.

My two favorite coaches share an appropriate honor. Good on ya Mssrs. DeBoer and Smith!
Re: offensive player of the year - Caleb Williams is a perfect choice. You don’t get more offensive than him, however, he IS a Trojan…just sayin’l
GO DAWGS

I liked Deion's message to the team... get on the bus or get in the portal. I think a lot of coaches lie to players.
John . I agree totally ! John Robinson , past SC Coach , had the same philosophy ; and he made SC great !! Deon will help make the Pac 12 better ! Old school coaching is what is needed now with these spoiled players !

Bowl game in year 1 and then a threat for the conference title in year 2.

OSU’67 GiantKiller Alumn
Smith had a great season.
You are getting your wish, and it is beyond belief: DJ Uiagalelei, the #1 available QB in the country is going to be a Beaver!
This conference truly dislikes the Ducks.
I think the coaches believe that USC and Oregon have more advantages.
John. UO’s reputation is built primarily on the media “Hype” given to this school based on the advertising dollars paid by the Nike company to advertise Nike and UO football; it is an unfair advantage .

"How far away was OSU from being 11-1?"
Yes. Astounding.
Also congratulations to Smith and Martinez. Well deserved.
Go Beavs!
Pretty remarkable.
Is Penix jr the conference Heisman candidate for 23 ?
Is Penix Jr an early Heisman Award candidate for 23 ?
Coach of the Year of award properly split. Also like the nice collection of Beavs on the all-conference list. And kudos to Anthony Gould and Jack Colleto for special teams honors. Hard to feel anything but warm and fuzzy about this year’s awards overall.
Agree... don't have a problem with this.
Coaches did a better job choosing than the media did!
Merry Christmas to you JJ !

And now a hopefully rejuvenated and to be coached up DJU is reportedly on the way to Corvallis.
Great get and great upside. DJU played fine pinch hitting in his true frosh season under the OC now at UVA.
Fansville? Too much too soon?
