Pac-12 well represented in NFL Playoffs, 117 total players with 70 on active rosters....

I hope we enjoy this. I saw a Top 100 draft picks this year and I believe there were 3 Pac-12 players on the list in the Top 50 and a few more in the next 50. I'm sure as we transition to the Pac-10 this could be the high water mark.

My only basketball interest is to see if Cal gets that "magic" win #4 this year :)

Whiplash watching the Ducks? How about the Wildcats! We spend the winter here in Southern AZ. You should see the reports in Tucson. They don’t know who’s showing up for games!!

Very good to see Bobby Hurley doing well coaching. It shows the toughness of a person who grew up in Jersey City NJ.

Love the current direction of the young OSU men’s hoop team. This team plays hard, plays together, and seems coachable. If we can avoid portal—poaching, this team has a bright future.

Any word on an imminent media deal, or are we just eeeeeasing back after the holidays with no feeling of urgency?

Enjoy your column and comments. I also subscribe to the Athletic and am following the Football Transfer Portal being an Oregon fan. They posted 65 "Players Previously Ranked" and four players on the list have committed to the Ducks while 19 have left the Oregon program and only one is included at #65. Would appear to be some evaluation mistakes during the Cristobal era and upgrades with the Lanning staff on this years transfers and recruits.

Good analogy on Last Chance U. Coach Altman's teams have always seemed to get better as the season went along. He must be asking himself, are they buying what I am selling? He will retire when he feels the answer is no.

Ducks have a chance to win both Bay Area games, to make up for the ASU loss at home, and then beat both Utes and Buffs at home- should be madder than heck for Buff game. If they pull it off, they'll be back in the mix. But can we count on it? Get Dante mad in all games from now on!

I meant to say that "potshot in the past", not the recent post. After the two players that weren't tossed from team a few years ago.

Sorry,

I’d go to the Arizona-UCLA game so I could plan a dinner at Lil Abner’s!

Happy to see that Dr. Jekyll showed up at the Duck game last night! Love Coach Altman. it’s up to the team as to whether or not they show up to play a 60 minute game.

ASU has had some horrid halves and some horrid games. Thursday was a well as I have seen them play this year. And the Oregon looked like they were just going through the motions to get to the Cats.

I'd want to see the Arizona game this coming weekend.

Thanks for your 'on point' review of the situation in the conference.

Ducks men's basketball? Dr Jekyll, meet Mr. Hyde. TBH I had almost completely tuned them out for the season; maybe I need to refocus to see what they come up with. Love me Last Chance U.

The characters on LCU continue to captivate, and this bunch really drives home the impact of COVID, too.

Hi John, as you spent so much time on the Big 10 circuit, did you ever have a chance to meet Sid Hartman? He was the best sportswriter I have ever read. Sid did a lot of personal interest stories, just like you. Maybe you learned that from him? He knew and was friends with all the top people in sports in his era like George Steinbrenner and Bobby Knight. Everyone in Minnesota loved him. He also had a lot of radio and TV time through his career and acted as the GM for the Minneapolis Lakers before they moved to Los Angeles in the 1960s. He was definitely a classic.
