I've been asking for RB Sewell for his whole time at Oregon and I

Ducks just have to do their jobs and win out. Keep playing with the same intensity and focus. They do that, everything else will take care of itself!

What a serendipitous weekend for Puddles!

UGA beats up and beats down #1 Tennessee. UW (J Smith, kick a FG?) defeats OSU to go 7-2, likely setting up a top 25 matchup in Eugene on Saturday? BYU wins. Clemson is blown out by a team Stanford defeated. Brian Kelly rolls the dice and rolls the Tide. Texas looks solid enough to defeat TCU next Saturday in Austin.

Utah wins = a top 25 opponent for Oregon. UCLA and USC both win. Oregon makes it to Las Vegas and the Ducks will play a top 25 opponent in the Pac-12 Champ Game.

So, if Oregon is a 12-1 Pac-12 champ will the Ducks trump an 11-1 Michigan that played 3 donut holes OOC, an 11-1 Ohio State with a weak SOS, an 11-1 Tennessee with no team of note left on the Vols schedule, a 12-1 ACC Champ, a 12-1 B12 champ, a possible 2L SEC champ?

Of course the most important thing is to go 4-0 and TCB. UW, Utah, Oregon State and UCLA/USC is not chopped liver.

Hats off to Dan Lanning and crew and hats off to Kirby Smart, the coach of the 'new Alabama.'

If you don't think strength of roster matters you did not watch UGA beat up Tennessee.

Thanks John + Go Ducks!

The most impressive win of the 22 season is Georgia's win vs the Duck's

2 loss Bama, and a proven bad Clemson team has to fall below the Ducks, that leaves only 5 with 3 weeks plus ch. week to go. All is possible

Georgia win over Tennessee much more impressive to the voters than Ducks beating a very weak team.

Oregon needed Georgia to lay it on Tennessee... I don't think it was enough to erase 49-3. Then again, a Rose Bowl may be a better fit.

How about Oregon vs Ohio State/Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl?

With what happened yesterday it is doable notwithstanding the white wash in Atlanta.

I'd like to see Oregon play anyone right now...

How about the Huskies next week? Sure Ducks will be favored, but I bet the DAWGS will show. Let us take one game at a time, please. How could rose bowl be better fit, Mr. Canzano? if you would like to see Oregon play anyone now, I would like to see them play UW, Utah, and big bad Beavers. Just because you still mention you picked Oregon to beat Ohio State last year, does that make you an expert? Your record this year is impressive, but my recovered black kitty told me to take a home favorite in the conference of champions, (Pac-12) is a pretty easy way to win. Only way Rose Bowl would be better fit for the Ducks is if you think Pac-12 is not yet for real or can play with the big boys. I feel no pac-12 team will be in final four again this year. I think once the Bruins and Trojans join the Big-10 in two years, Pac-10 will already be sunk. Is called big money! Thanks Larry Miller. Georgia will be repeat national champs, and I did pick them yesterday. The winner of Ohio State and Michigan, unless one of them loses first, will join Georgia in the last four. The other two spots are still open, and TCU is strong. My pro picks today are Arizona at home over Pete Carroll, and super lock is KC at home tonight, even if Tennessee has their qb playing. Is Husky week, and if the Ducks play a smart, solid game, they shoud win. Would hate to lose to UW in Autzen. I am not real concerned about OSU in huge 25,000 Reser; last time winner of the Beavs and Ducks was for the Rose Bowl, Beavs almost won with Mike Riley in Autzen. GO DUCKS

No you really don't. I think UCLA, USC, and Utah at home would give Ducks fits. Autzin a huge home field advantage. Without it, Ducks are a different team. Really good, but beatable.

the Ducks do not have USC on their schedule this year. already beat Chip Kelly last month. If they get to play USC, it is for the pac-12 title in Las Vegas in early December.

That may be so... but what Georgia player is a valuable to the Bulldogs as Nix is to Oregon?

Ouch. Rarely see political comments on John's page. Guess the exception proves the rule. Interesting you forgot to post your favorite QB's name. Stetson is a fine quarterback... but not a valuable to his team as Bo is to the Ducks. His defense saves him most games. Missed the part where he destroyed the Vols. 27-13 not exactly destruction. The Heisman is up for grabs and you know it.eep rolling!

I saw the whole Vols vs. Georgia and Vols never were in it. Glad you are not a trumpster, so I apologize. Mr. Maverick. Final score of Georgia game does not indicate the total dominance. Husky experience this Saturday and sure hope Ducks roll!

Dear idiot:

Georgia beat Ducks. Georgia good. Ducks lost to Georgia(who wouldn’t?). Georgia beats number one team, Tennessee. Georgia good, REALLY good. Ducks loss not so bad, since Georgia beat EVERYBODY. Given Ducks record since then, Ducks pretty good. DUCKS, so far, second best team in country.

Georgia 49, Oregon 3

Georgia 27, Tennessee 13

That result does not make Oregon look better than Tennessee.

Agreed, But yesterday's results = better than the ACC champ, possibly an 11-1 Michigan/Ohio State and likely better than a 12-1 B12 champ.

I agree. I feel if Georgia just blew out #1 Tennessee, the Oregon loss doesn’t look so bad in retrospect. I think you’ll agree that if Oregon and Georgia met today, the outcome would be different. IF Oregon wins out, it’ll be hard to deny them a spot in the playoff.

As a Beaver fan, I’d like nothing more than to have the Ducks come into Reser believing they are on their way to the national championship, only to get knocked out by the Beavs. That would be epic. Maybe I’ll even root for them to go undefeated until that day...

Oregon’s ripe for an over-confident picking. The Monsters from Montlake are coming to Eugene.

Time to rock

GO DAWGS

Monsters from Montlake? Is that a jv girls volleyball team? Ducks will have no problem with any puppy who cosses the state line. No dogs allowed in Oregon unless they have four legs. GO DUCKS

At the beginning of the season , if someone would have told you that The Ducks were going to be in the Rose Bowl, who here wouldn't have been happy. Now it feels like the Rose Bowl isn't good enough. I guess it is like the guy who gets set up on a blind date and it turns out to be Heidi Klum.. And the guy complains about his date.

Jon: Since you are throwing out numbers here are some you forgot:

Record of conference teams Oregon has beaten: 11-26 Throw out Oregons loss to Georgia and win against UCLA and it gets worse. Eastern Washington 2-7 and BYU 5-5

Lots of teams across the country would like to play the teams Oregon has beaten.

Usually Boise State is a quality win. Not this year.

Loving how this team is playing. They truly seem to get better every week and haven't had any letdown types of performances. Huskies and Utes at home then the CIVIL WAR in Corvallis. I think the Beavs are the toughest remaining game. Not because I think they are necessarily better than Washington, and I certainly don't believe they are better than Utah and probably not even very close. But they play well at home and its a rivalry game. That is the Beavers' Super Bowl every season and if the Ducks are 10-1 you just know the Beavers would love nothing more than to crush their playoff hopes. Gonna be a fun final month watching this team! The next two in Autzen I think Oregon wins highly entertaining games with lots of offense. Going Ducks 48, Huskies 31 this weekend.

Nix has been great but some of th other QB's you mentioned were playing against much tougher competition. Young playing LSU on the road totally different that beating a poor CU. Hooker beating Bama is quite the accomplishment. When Nix played Georgia he was a nothing burger. He is a great QB, but let's keep some perspective when talking Heisman. Kalib Williams has elevated USC to a contender that without him might be a 5 win team. He has no defense and an undersized O line His contribution is Heisman worthy. Next few weeks will tell the story. PS: Thanks for Travis Dye, the dude is amazing. Now you know how USC fans feel when LA dudes play for the "Phil Knights"....er. the Ducks.
