There was no need to shutdown schools due to covid, just ask Florida...

You are not missing anything about Pop Tarts. Obviously not a healthy breakfast and otherwise are like cardboard. I think the filling has disintegrated over the years.

John,

Did your dad ever make it to the show? Triple A isn’t terrible at all and I would be very proud as I am sure you are!

I'll ask this delicately here while showing great respect for the memory of Coach Leach:

I have to think an open SEC job would have been of more interest to Coach Prime?

So you’re saying you won’t be doing commercials for Kix? 😉

My parents bought Life cereal and I love it... still.

Oh, and for your pop tart taste test, I enthusiastically suggest either Strawberry or Raspberry with the frosting. My parents didn’t buy them either. I buy a box 📦 on occasion.

We both know you weren’t born in 1937. I like to think 1960 or 1961 were just as bland as Kix or Grape Nuts.

Oh, and my mom also ate Grape Nuts.

I am with you--the State transportation department should use the cereal on icy road surfaces.

Merry Christmas, John.

Am Surprised that there is no hard ball NCAA rule on this to make all the odds even for all conference schools !! Are you SURE about your comment ? Please verify !

Terrific bag. thanks.

Love the call on SC and UCLA coming back 'home' but I think we are more likely to see the B1G add west coast teams and I expect the B1G and SEC will also cherry pick the ACC.

Financially we have a college Power 2 today and I think these two expand (with schools like Northwestern and Vandy possibly dropping out at least football-wise) to form the equivalent of the pre-merger AFL/NFL.

I see further CFB consolidation and ultimately an NFL-Lite Super Conference that negotiates with a CFB players union that I expect will be affiliated with the NFL players union. There will be a salary, cap, contractual restrictions on transfers, direct pay-for-play and quite possibly a high school draft.

I think a number of schools will reject this model and basically go Ivy League/D3 for all sports.

BTW, I hope I am wrong and SC/UCLA come back but I think the horse is out of the barrn.

PS - Hats off to the Beavs!. WSU? Looked like a team playing without its top 3 WRs and its OC and DC. Fresno looks like it belongs in the Pac; at least 1 'Bay Area' group of fans would care about sports.

Growing up it was the same at my house at the breakfast table…Grape Nuts, Cheerios, Corn Flakes. And why did they choose to call it Grape Nuts? Maybe because the ‘nuts’ are a little like the seeds in grapes? I ate them after adding an extra spoon of sugar and letting them sit for 5 minutes so they would soften up and not break any teeth while chewing. I even remember the ad on TV with Ewell (sp?) Gibbons among the trees hawking GN…wait, maybe they’re made from tree bark? Or pinecone seeds?

John.

There has been little said as to why OSU’s Chance Nolan opted for the Portal; methinks he still has enormous talent as a QB, with his speed and passing ability . If he is not picked up in the Portal , does he return to OSU and retain his scholarship ? How does all that work ? Once in the Portal , does a student Athlete lose his scholarship ?

I was lucky enough to enjoy Pop Tarts as a kid growing up in the 60s-70s. But I guess I’m an oddball, because I’ve never liked the frosted varieties. My favorite is an unfrosted blueberry Pop Tart, toasted, with butter. To quote Griffin and Quagmire, “Have you ever put butter on a Pop Tart? It’s so friggen good!”

I tried to order a gift subscription and gave the information of the email for the recipient and also my email that was requested. I gave my credit card information and submitted it. I received a response saying my email already had an account. So, now I don’t know if my order went through or not. Charlotte McClow

Interesting hires by Dillingham at ASU. First guy from Eastern Washington, hired and fired at Cal and 4-18 record last two years at Cal Poly. Then the guy from Idaho State who went 1-9. Sounds like he is hiring friends.

That’s funny about giving your girls grape nuts. I actually like grape nuts, but if they have to have a lot of sugar. I guess that defeats the purpose of your mother, but let’s not forget about Forrest Gump fighting in Vietnam I would have to give him the edge merry Christmas to you and yours
