Utah appears to have been hosed here. And yes, it looks fishy. The B12 is mediocre. Boise State would whoop every school in the conference and Wazzu would whoop most. On the Cougs, dominant win last night and Mateer with another 5 touchdowns. It speaks to the corruption in college football that the refs worked with BYU on the win and Mateer isn’t a top 4 Heisman candidate.

Bad call but Utah had the ball twice in BYU terrritory in the 4th quarter and could not even get a first down let alone extending their lead. If they had a semblance of an offense in the second half this does not come down to a late field goal.
That simply does not matter. Utah stopped BYU and won the game. The officials changed the outcome. It is not Utah's fault for not scoring. They stepped up and stopped BYU.

I don’t disagree, but the call that cost them the game appears to have been a phantom. No?
I do agree that was a call that should not have been made…especially at that time in the game. It did seem to deflate Utah a lot and re-energize BYU.
