Canzano: Going behind the scenes at the CFP
A video about the CFP title game.
MIAMI — I went live on YouTube from the media hotel at the College Football Playoff national championship game on Sunday.
I discussed Miami coach Mario Cristobal, Indiana’s Curt Cignetti, the final joint news conference before the game, the Super Bowl-like feel of Miami, and the $3,600 ‘get in’ price for a nosebleed ticket. I also made my official pick for the game in the video.
The Monday Mailbag will be published from Miami on Monday. What's on your mind? Ask away in the comment section. Have fun with it. Best questions make the cut and get published.

John, here's a mailbag question.
Did Oregon State mess up by passing on Montana State's Brent Vigen for head coach? He was as close as you can get to the Curt Cignetti model. An older, experienced coach with a proven record of success. He just won an FCS national championship. Many of his best players would likely have followed him to OSU, knowing they could pursue a Pac-12 championship and berth into the CFP after accomplished the ultimate FCS prize.
If you use my question, you can edit it down as you see fit. Would love to hear your thoughts on that topic. The fact that OSU asked him to pull a Lane Kiffin and abandon his players before their championship run makes me ill. The fact that he stayed loyal to his team is a virtue, not a liabilty. Guys like Kiffin, Jonathan Smith and countless other middle-aged men could learn a thing or two from him.
Great work as always, John. We’re all better off with your reporting.
