John, I didn't know Strickland, and never saw him play. I feel like I know him now.

Thanks,

Another Canzano Classic

Brutal reminder of how life can suddenly go bad and how we must look for good in the ashes

Burning Point for me is it’s been almost five years without a legal decision…

Moments in time can do that. It’s a bloody miracle I say! Happened to me in real time once or twice and I’ll never forget it. I’ve tried to explain it to people but they already knew I was nuts…

Lots of lessons here--yes, life is short is a good one. Another: If there's anyone reading this column who has their gun(s) accessible and not locked in a safe, please be responsible and take care of that soon. Not a political comment, just good advice.

John, You are a story-teller at heart, and you are a darned good one. Thank you. There is a time set aside in eternity past for each of us to leave this Earth, and it is usually not when we think it will be.

You made "Strick's" short life here memorable, and worth remembering. Dunk a medicine ball: who can do that at 5'9"? And, that was the least of the many things "Strick" did. What a nice young man he was. Again, thank you. VR,

This is fresh air in this cynical age of NIL, coaches job hopping and university names acting as fronts for semi pro football teams (at the so called power 5 level). Here was a young man who competed hard, earned his degree and wanted to give back to his community. Thanks, JC, you reminded us of the important part of what college sports are all about. R.I.P. Deante and let’s give some love to the Vikings, Big Sky, and our local small college true student athletes. Yes, this comes from a Buckeye alum and having the Beavers and Vikings be my Oregon teams!
