I am absolutely blessed by your stories of hope, faith, perseverance, endurance through the trials and tribulations of life. They make a difference in me. A good difference. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you John for introducing me to David. Thank you for introducing me to his family. Very powerful story! I am a better person today for reading it. Thank you!
Great story John! Such joy in the difference the Heller Foundation is making in our community, and keeping David’s memory alive. The Powerful strength of his parents is inspiring.
Thank you John for sharing this story. You have written about the Heller family before and each time I read about them, I come away feeling blessed. A strong and inspiring family. You know how to tug on the heartstrings in a good way.
JC, thanks for another of your growing list of reminders- cloaked as 'human interest' stories - that there are more important things than sport, that there are many more things uniting than dividing us, and that in the end, love always wins. Always.
Thanks once again, John, for a very touching article about this unfortunate tragedy. I recall officiating a few of David's games with Central Cathodic - he was simply a great young man on the court. Always gracious to his opponents and never complained to the officials.
Thank you for sharing this lovely story that started with a tragedy. As a person that struggled to find answers to a heart issue for 19 months, I can appreciate the story even more. My situation is resolved now. Thanks again. -Rohith
Very powerful column John! We lost our son who was 25 years old nine years ago and we always love it when people ask about him. Our faith allowed us to get through this tragedy and God has also allowed us to walk beside others who have had similar losses.
Keep up the great work and hope to see you on fearless with Jason Whitlock again in the near future.
Nathan was a great kid, but fell in with the wrong crowd at high school, experimented with drugs and ended up with a heroin addiction which took his life. He was a great junior golfer, played basketball and loved most sports. He is terribly missed.
Incredibly touching. Thank you John. So many of these beautiful stories go untold, so again, thank you.
Thanks Charles.
I agree. Great story, once again.
