If you don’t follow Canzano then I feel for you.. everything in a blender then…”life” ..thanks Lexy for allowing John to place perspective around what really matters! Remember 0 is just a number..
Oh wow Lexy myself and my family cannot thank you enough Mr. Canzano (John) for this amazing emotional moving story of my daughter and her incredible supportive Warner Pacific University ladies basketball team coached under Matt Gregg . you even had me in tears I can't even find a way to thank you enough for this when I met Mr. Norm Maves and he told me that he was going to take pictures and send them to you I was flabbergasted & so blessed I met him. You have an amazing talent for telling the story and you told it from the beginning to the end and I am grateful beyond measure and thank you from the bottom of my heart along with my family for this beautiful composition
Everybody: May you be blessed enough in your life to meet somebody as brave, modest, understanding and decent as Monica delos Reyes. Many of you already have. When you meet those people, honor them. They're very special to our world. See you at the Knights game. maves
We were blessed the second you came into our lives You are so Kind & such a caring Amazing Human. God bless you & yours . Lexy sends big hugs & says "Please keep in touch" Anyone who meets YOU Is going to feel warmth in their hears always.
Got to see her for the first time Saturday afternoon, heard about John writing this story, and am glad I had the chance to learn more about this amazing young woman.
John. My oh my .... you know how to make a grown man cry .... !....reading the story about Lexy makes one realize how little important chasing money , by playing sports is ...!...a great inspirational story and certainly shows that Warner Pacific knows what IS really important in life -cherishing the Life of others !
Let us all pray for Lexy . What she brings to that college campus is unmeasurable !!!!
What a wonderful and encouraging story John! Definitely puts things in perspective. Stories like this always makes me muzzle my seemingly infinite capacity to complain about minutiae that I’ve built into Mt Everest. Thank you for the reality check. What hero’s Lexy and her family are, thank you for introducing us.
Dude, awesome story about Lexy! It brought a tear (or more) to my eyes. I stumbled across you about 6 months ago with all the college sports realignment rumors/happenings. I live in Texas but have close ties to Colorado and California.I love your writing!
Wow. I guess I'll stop complaining about the rainy weather, the rising cost of beer and that darn hangnail I've got. Yet another fabulous article, John, about yet another fantastic person you've introduced to the world at large. Thank you, and we also want to extend a huge thank you to Lexi and her parents for providing us a lesson about love and perseverance.
Have you ever written a bad article? You are not a sports writer you are a writer. A great writer that has the unique ability to recognize a story and then to convey the essence of the story to the readers.

John
I love the human interest stories that you do. Thank you so much.
Thank you for reading them... and for supporting the platform here. Big part of the equation.
What a remarkable story and remarkable young woman!
She's an inspiration.
Makes all my other worries today seem like champagne problems! Thanks. ❤️

Great story - but more importantly, how can we financially help this family?
Nothing like a good cry to start the Sunday. I must admit I often skip these kind of stories, but didn't today. Thanks John.
No skipping allowed. Glad you enjoyed.

Thank you for this.
Some schools, and some people just ‘do the right thing’. So heartwarming…..and heartbreaking.
