If Oregon State can keep helping up and sending forth great young humans like Jaden, it does not matter to me what football conference they play in. Thanks again for another great inspiring story.
The stars who jump from program to program for NIL money or the recruits who play the ridiculous hat game on signing day might get the publicity, but it's athletes such as Jaden Robinson who are the true heart and soul of college football.
Wow. What a great lady and what fantastic sons. You have to be optimistic about a nation where where such great people exist and are part of its fabric. Thanks.
A touching, inspiring story. The photos are a good part of it. I hope this young man is able to create a very successful life, and I think he will if he is anything like his loving, hard-working mother. Thanks for this article, John.
Love this story! It’s the story being told of some if the Olympic athletes. Strong moms, few financisl resources, everything for their kids. I so admire these women like Jayden’s mom. Thinks John.
I work with so many single mothers just like her and every one of them is a hero. In 20 years of doing this work I could count on one hand, and not use all 5 fingers, how many of these mothers were receiving one nickel of child support. Where are they?
A good offset for the story in "The Althletic "yesterday about the softball pitcher from Stanford who jumped to Texas Tech for a cool. $1,050,000 and change. Just sayin', Charlie.
I didn’t read the article. If you are a top college baseball pitcher you are in a good spot to make millions in MLB. A top college softball player? No MLB for her. . She was at Stanford so she’s smart. Make the move. Get your million bucks. Nothing wrong with that at all in my opinion.

I feel the exact same way.
Character over star ratings
Love this comment, Chris!!

Thank you for sharing such inspirational story to make our Sunday Morning that much better.
An incredible leap of faith by Jaden’s mother shaping her two sons life for generations to come.
John, your incredible work to consistently provide a behind the scenes of the lives of student athletes and their journeys is very much appreciated.

What a great story. Mrs. Brown took a leap of faith moving to Seattle. Her hard work and dedication to her son’s is admirable.
Great story of mothers love!!!
Strong women as strong moms - where would present day society be without them?
🙏🏼💪🏼🙏🏼
GO DAWGS
Well Said David!
Hoping the Dawgs blow out and dominate their BIG 10 competition as a reminder to all in the that conference how good the PAC 12 was!!!
Your best stuff, John.
Will be rooting for the Beavers this fall.
They deserve something good to come their way.

“She did her job,”
Such an inspiration.
That quote... nailed it.
I had to bypass the two Steinbeck quotes to land on yours as the shiniest one. 👏
A mother’s bravery, wise and caring is what makes a son a strong and loving man.
Thanks Steve. Not surprised Jaden wants to help others.
I learned caring for others through the actions of both my father and mother. I was lucky, I was blessed.
Thanks for a positive and inspirational article. It is needed in these turbulent times.
