Cougars-Ducks to meet in Pac-12 Tournament.
LAS VEGAS — Washington State ended Cal’s dismal basketball season on Wednesday with a 69-52 victory in the opening round of the Pac-12 Conference tournament.
Five different WSU players scored in double figures. The No. 5-seed Cougars were led by TJ Bamba’s 17 points. Cal, seeded 12th in the tournament, dropped to 3-29 this season.
With the victory, Washington State advances to Thursday’s second round where it will face No. 4-seed Oregon at 2:30 p.m. The Cougars (17-15) and Ducks (18-13) split the regular-season series.
I had a photographer on the scene at T-Mobile Arena on Wednesday.
