I always enjoy the game photography. Serena Morones does a great job of capturing the intensity of the game and the fans expression at each moment of a play. I want more!!
In my opinion Serena Morones does the BEST job of all your photographers of capturing the true "essence" of the event....football action and fans. There are some great football shots in this set but I really enjoy the people shots the most. Great job Serena!
Love the photographs... so well done. Going off topic... but would you have a story about the WCC Championship Portland Pilots women's team. The Oregonian hasn't printed a word about 'our' Portland team yet this season. 😎
Didn't you have Stanford covering the spread against the Beavers, John? The Beavers offense improves every week as DJU and the rest get on the same page. The O line is crushing all other defenses (and if the Beavs had run more against the Wildcats to take advantage of that line, they would have won it, too).
No, I don't think the Ducks will get their rematch with the Huskies. Beavers are beating the Huskies next week. The Beavs defense is as good, or better than the Utes.
UW now has a bruising/bulldozer of a RB, Dillon Johnson. They didn’t have this weapon in 1st half of season because he was injured, and UW original RB1 (Cam Davis) never played a snap in ‘23 due to season-end injury. The UW offense is more balanced and potent now. Evidence the last Q4 drive vs. Utah yesterday. UW bled the clock w/ the run. Washington will win in Corvallis next Sat as a result of new weaponry
Gonna be really interesting to see all the coach names that pop up for the A&M job (Jimbo is out). Lanning has already been mentioned, hopefully he doesn’t bite
Lanning's not going to TAMU. Aggies are no longer a step up over Oregon, Lanning has assistant coaching experience in the SEC but no southern roots, he likes the Eugene area and his current gig, and Phil Knight is not going to get outbid...even by Texans.
John, Your photo game/staff do a marvelous job, and Serena's photos capture the emotion and excitement of the various venues and preparations. I laughed when I read this - perfectly captured/encapsulated the Truth (regardless of partison sidings): "Oregon is damned good when it gets out of its own way." Simplicity and brilliance enable the solution while complexity does not. Thank you for the presentation - photos and story line. You have had a great column this year!

I’m on it

The beavers will win next Saturday. Dogs will have the first L. Ducks and Beavs will be one hell of a game.... Go Ducks!

I was 3-3 vs the spread.

Once again!! Oregon made it a little more interesting at the end than necessary 😱
Great shots of a statement Oregon win
GO DAWGS
You keep saying that but I really know you love the Ducks!
Go Ducks!!
