LAS VEGAS — Oregon State’s season crashed to an unceremonious end on Wednesday in the men’s Pac-12 Conference Tournament.
Final score: UCLA 67, Oregon State 57.
Dylan Andrews scored 31 points for UCLA, including seven made three-point shots. The Beavers were led by guard Jordan Pope, who scored 16 points. Tyler Bilodeau added 13.
Ten members of the Pac-12 will depart next season for other conferences. OSU coach Wayne Tinkle was asked about that after the game: “It’s a shame we’re in the position we’re in to be quite honest… it’s a damn shame.”
UCLA coach Mick Cronin said: "Wayne’s a good guy. We’ve become friends. I’m going to miss playing against him."
I’ll file a column from Las Vegas on what happens next at Oregon State and with the Pac-12. Make sure you’re subscribed if you don’t want to miss it.
