Photo Gallery: Indiana tops Oregon Ducks
Saturday's scene at Autzen Stadium.
EUGENE — Indiana players celebrated. Hoosiers fans whooped it up. Oregon got beat on Saturday at Autzen Stadium, 30-20, and suffered the first Big Ten loss of the Dan Lanning era.
I was on the scene and posted a column about the urgency of UO’s now-recalibrated mission. The Ducks players and coaches must know that losing in October won’t matter if they can win in December and January.
Is what happened correctable?
Lanning told me Saturday night: “We’re on it.”

I generally do not root for the Big 10. But it is nice to see a team without Mega $$$ coming from a Corporate donor that simply buys a ton of talent to win. Indiana was winning the line of scrimmage from the get go, running for 5,6,7, yards easily, then coming back with some nice pass plays. Ducks gave them a good push back the second quarter, but Indiana stiffened their back and only allow 40+ yards total offense for the Ducks in the 2nd half.Kudoos for Hoosiers. Hope they can continue their undefeated seasons and rattle somemore top ten teams.
Great photos!!! The Ducks were due to lose one. Let’s see what happens this weekend.
