Ahhhh.....Dubs. I love Alaskan Malamutes. But maybe the University of Washington should have picked an actual Siberian Husky for a mascot. A breed meant for speed and endurance as opposed to heavy loads. Ha.

Dubs is nice and docile. A Siberian Husky would never sit still, eager to take off and run around the stadium.

We called it rooing. They would actually talk, carrying on animated discussions (usually back talk :)).

Would you happen to be the Larry Ross who grew up near Marquam, OR?

The photo of Lanning talking to the player about the unsportsmanlike penalty shows the wrong player being corrected. The whole kerfuffle was started by 22 smashing into and knocking a Husky player into the others. He really should have been the one penalized.

Especially on the banks down by the montlake cut in spring after a trip to Ivars watching crew practice.

Why no pics of beautiful Mt. Rainer? It was visible for entire 1st half from my seats. This is a rare occurrence the last week of November;)

Michigan State just fired head football coach Jonathan Smith today after less than two seasons. If you hurry, you can get the best selection of Michigan State Gear at the local Goodwill in Lansing. Clipboards and hats are going fast.

Stellar pictures Naji!

Naji-Thanks for the picture of Dubs leading this off. A beautiful animal. I owned Siberian Huskys for over 30 years and loved them. I have said for years that UW uses an Alaskan Malamute and not a Husky as a mascot. Everyone always denies it. Now I am vindicated:)

They could never get a Husky to sit still. Great dogs, but not for the faint of heart, Very smart and very independent.

Naji, you've done the game good justice as always. Good job--thanks!

Dan Lanning "talks" with D. Austin after an unsportsmanlike? That vein in his neck looks kinda big.

At least the two ladies representing Oregon and Washington seem to be getting along. The picture of Jed seems to be saying tough sledding out there. Great photo shoot.

More pictures of "Dubs," please. One handsome pup.

Handsome, yes. Husky, no.
