CORVALLIS — Oregon State is back in the Sweet 16.
The No. 3 seed Beavers beat No. 6 Nebraska on Sunday at Gill Coliseum, 61-51. OSU advances to the Albany Regional of the women’s NCAA Tournament. It will play on Friday against the winner of Notre Dame-Mississippi.
This marks the fifth appearance in the Sweet 16 by coach Scott Rueck and the school’s first since 2019. Talia von Oelhoffen led the Beavers with 19 points and eight assists. Timea Gardiner scored 17 points and had blocked four shots.
The Beavers were picked to finish 10th in the Pac-12 Conference preseason poll.

Another good win for the Beavers. Played well without Beers in the fourth. Probably looking at Notre Dame next game. Don’t want to hijack the women’s BB story, but how about Travis Bazzana hitting a lead off HR for the 4th straight game today and then adding a 3 run shot in the 8th.
Just left. Great crowd. Hope 6 PAC12 teams make the sweet 16. CU upset KSU, Stanford later tonite, & USC/UCLA/Utah tomorrow.. Go Beavs.
