CORVALLIS — Oregon State is back in the Sweet 16.
The No. 3 seed Beavers beat No. 6 Nebraska on Sunday at Gill Coliseum, 61-51. OSU advances to the Albany Regional of the women’s NCAA Tournament. It will play on Friday against the winner of Notre Dame-Mississippi.
This marks the fifth appearance in the Sweet 16 by coach Scott Rueck and the school’s first since 2019. Talia von Oelhoffen led the Beavers with 19 points and eight assists. Timea Gardiner scored 17 points and had blocked four shots.
The Beavers were picked to finish 10th in the Pac-12 Conference preseason poll.

Just left. Great crowd. Hope 6 PAC12 teams make the sweet 16. CU upset KSU, Stanford later tonite, & USC/UCLA/Utah tomorrow.. Go Beavs.
I agree that it was not their best game. There's plenty of things to clean up before the next round.
The more I watch Talia von Oelhoffen play, the more I love her grit and tenacity on the court. She is very aggressive and won't back down. When she was double teamed in the backcourt and she broke through it (knocking one opponent to the floor), that's what I'm talking about!!!! Also, Timea Gardiner is killer on threes!! Coach Rueck will have them ready! GO BEAVS!!!!!
