Canzano: What we learned from Oregon’s 84-0 win over Portland State

I don’t think we learned very much on Friday night.

Not about the Oregon Ducks, in a 84-0 victory.

Not about Portland State, in a lopsided loss.

The Vikings were paid $590,000 to play at Autzen Stadium. Some of you weren’t aware. So I guess there’s that. Portland State collected a windfall payday. And based on the way PSU Athletic Director Matt Billings is cutting his staff, he apparently needs the money. I wondered if he drove the team bus to save a few dimes.

I’m going to say something cruel and sobering, but it needs to be said.
