Coordinators are leaving, so what now?
The good people of the state of Oregon have been called worse things than “weirdos.” Let’s start there. The leaked audio recording of Penn State Athletic Director Pat Kraft this week won’t hurt any feelings in the Pacific Northwest.
“Oregon?” the Penn State AD apparently said on the recording. “Have you all been to Oregon? Ain’t s**t going on, it’s a bunch of f**king weirdos.”
Soft?
Kraft said that, too, allegedly.
He was recorded in a conversation with a PSU player. He was talking about Dan Lanning’s football team not being very tough. I suspect there’s going to be a UO-produced 90-minute HD video dedicated to the theme the next time the Nittany Lions and Ducks play football.
Who will call the plays on offense for the Ducks next season? Who will call the defense? If Kraft were smart and looking for a weak spot in the UO operation, he’d have started his rant against Oregon there.
Lanning will have two new coordinators next season. I have thoughts on the departures of Tosh Lupoi and Will Stein.
Will they impact Oregon’s College Football Playoff run?
How about beyond that?
