This is a fascinating week for college football. The storylines are juicy. The subplots are fun. Michigan State coach Jonathan Smith returns to the state of Oregon, where his team will face the Ducks on Friday. Cal is a first-time site for ESPN’s College GameDay and is hosting the Miami Hurricanes. And Washington has an opportunity for revenge at home against Michigan on Saturday.

Colorado State at Oregon State — what’s your score prediction?

I’ll give you mine.

How about USC at Minnesota? Will Boise State keep it rolling? How about UNLV? Is Ohio State peeking ahead? And who starts at quarterback for Stanford against Virginia Tech?

I went 4-6 against the spread and posted a 5-5 record straight up last week. It was not my best performance. No excuses. I had a great start but fizzled in the late games last Saturday night. I’m geared up for a more complete performance this week.

My 2024 record vs. the spread: 33-24 (.578)

My record straight up: 45-12 (.789)

My Week 6 picks, thoughts, opinions, quips, and predictions…
