The order was a legal beatdown. The Supreme Court of Washington denied both motions for discretionary review on Friday and granted control of the Pac-12 Conference to Washington State and Oregon State.

The 10 departing schools fell silent in the wake of the court’s decision. No concession speech. No written statements. No vow to appeal. Were they in shock? Plotting? Licking their wounds? Or counting the ways in which they’re now at the mercy of the two schools they punched in the neck last August.
