I’m emptying the notebook on the Big Ten Conference Football Media Days. There was a lot of the typical preseason posturing and promising going on this week, but a few things that were said caught my attention.
Among them, linebacker Bryce Boettcher’s unfiltered and realistic view of Ohio State’s ambush of the Oregon Ducks in Pasadena. Also, Washington’s athletic director talked about why the ‘greater good of the game’ doesn’t get more consideration. And clearly, someone at Big Ten headquarters gave the conference coaches and ADs some talking points. They wielded them frequently during the 72-hour event.
