My old friend Bill Monroe dropped me an email on Sunday that’s probably worth sharing. He’s become increasingly irritated with something related to college football and the media, and he’d like to vent about it.

Do you know Monroe? He’s an award-winning outdoors writer in the Pacific Northwest. He is legendary when it comes to reporting on the fishing and hunting beat. The first time I met Monroe, he walked into the newsroom wearing a camouflage jacket and rubber waders. I knew he was not to be trifled with.
Anyway, he’s irked by something.
