I took note of the fine print on Will Stein’s Twitter bio. The Oregon Ducks new offensive coordinator uses the hash tag: #FeedtheStuds.

Marcus Harvey at Portland Gear is probably printing a line of “Feed the Studs” tees as I write this sentence. It’s bound to be the rally cry at Autzen Stadium next season. “Win the Day” and “Do Something” and “Impose our Culture” all had their time.

I’m interested to see if Stein’s mantra will stick.

Stein and Oregon coach Dan Lanning have only spent about an hour together since he was hired, per a source. They’re both on the road, recruiting. The plan is for the head coach and new hire to get together this weekend when UO hosts recruits on some official visits.

Jason Brown, the outspoken community-college football coach who starred in the Netflix documentary series “Last Chance U” knows Stein’s work through mutual coaching friends. I asked Brown about Oregon’s new hire.

“Innovative,” he said.
