The athletic directors in the soon-to-be Pac-12 Conference will meet on Wednesday at conference headquarters at “Bishop Ranch 15” in San Ramon, Calif.

They’ll be joined on Thursday by their nine university presidents for a group discussion. And on Friday, the presidents will meet alone to discuss matters involving the official launch of the Pac-12 in July.

Three days of talks.

The most pressing agenda item — football scheduling for 2026.

The College Football Playoff management committee decided to stay at 12 teams next season. The Pac-12 understands the objective.

“We gotta get our champion in,” a source told me.
