VERY encouraging report card for the new PAC-12 Commissioner

Good that he's connected with the conferences and demonstrated some leadership. Frankly, anyone would be an improvement over Larry Scott. But I think he fumbled badly by voting against CFP expansion. Hopefully that will get resolved soon and he'll be able to negotiate some very lucrative media deals. The Pac-12 has a lot of ground to make up on that front.

Media, NIL, Transfer Portal, Athletic Graduation Rates are all top tier issues. If the Commish can get all these issues corralled, he will absolutely deserve a very lofty paycheck..!! BTW-nice piece . . .

The West need the PAC12 to be successful! Besides the time differences most sports commentators have dissed the conference. Football seems to be the biggest money maker so the commissioner needs to make sure that sport is successful. The NIL money pit and the transfer portal seems to have athletes in control of recruiting where the highest bidder gets the prize. Not sure that is sustainable if the college experience does not become a pro league for the NFL big brother.

How about a lifetime contract for GK?

The world needs to give George some time--it took several years for Larry Scott to do his damage and it will take time to unscrew things. But George looks like our kind of people, something Scott, in his arrogance, never understood. I'm encouraged.

All reports are refreshing hear. I hope the PAC-12 keeps moving forward under Mr. Kliavkoff’s leadership

What was the statement? I'm for it in principle but since it's not going to pass I'll vote no? Hmmm. Also not a fan of "the alliance." If they try to line up with the Big 12 and ACC against the SEC and Big 10, they're going to lose. I think my friend Bob Bowlsby was smart to escape.
