Would Scott Barnes really hire another first-time head coach to run his football program? It’s become one of the questions to ask as the Oregon State athletic director prepares for interviews with finalists this week.
Barnes hired first-time head coach Trent Bray in the last cycle. It ended unceremoniously. I’ve wondered throughout the current hiring process if OSU would dare to take that risk again.
Interviews are expected to take place early this week. The Beavers play at Washington State on Saturday. The hire should be unveiled shortly after that regular-season finale.
