Oregon State’s athletic department is a distracted operation right now, and for that reason, I fear it won’t grasp the gravity of what must be done.
I’ll keep it simple.
Keep Scott Rueck around.
That’s it. Pay the guy. Schedule games against the best national competition. Fund his women’s basketball program. Then, get out of his way. Because if OSU doesn’t do those things, I worry he’ll eventually slip through its fingers.
