I received a fun email from a reader after Oregon State’s 66-14 rout of San Diego State. It came from a die-hard Beavers fan who happens to be an expert fisherman. He admits that he’s drunk from the euphoria of the season.
The football season — not the fishing season.
Bill wrote, “I’m still better at finding fish than understanding football. Thank God, I can enjoy both.”
JaMarcus Shephard’s football team gave its fan base another uplifting Saturday. The Beavers pounded San Diego State, running 92 plays from scrimmage, and posting 651 total yards. It was a statement performance that left the feet of OSU fans floating six inches off the ground.
