When the story of the Oregon Ducks’ 2024 football season is told, a chapter should be dedicated to the mettle demonstrated in Saturday’s victory over Wisconsin.
The Ducks beat the Badgers 16-13.
UO coach Dan Lanning said: “We had just enough.”
A few thoughts:
• The game was gritty, rough around the edges, and adventurous. Ernest Hemingway would have loved it. It was not a pretty game. It wasn’t easy. It will be criticized by those looking for flaws. But it served a purpose, the Ducks won, and they’re 11-0.
• Lanning said: “We needed every second, every moment.” The closer-than-expected outcome comes with a silver lining, doesn’t it?
